    Product Description

Select Lumix digital cameras have an incredible 12x optical zoom (the equivalent of a 420mm zoom on a 35mm camera) that lets you capture the details of a distant subject up close and personal. The DMC-FZ10S is the industry’s first 4-megapixel consumer digital camera with a 12x optical zoom. Plus, its F2.8 brightness across the entire 12x zoom range provides extraordinary image-rendering performance and puts you in control over a wide variety of shooting techniques. You can capture broad, sweeping landscapes with wide-angle shots, or portraits that fix the subject in a sharp focus while a softer-focused background provides the perfect contrast.

    Amazon.com Product Description

The 4-megapixel Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 offers a host of professional features at an affordable price. It includes a 12x optical zoom with image stabilization, full manual controls (with a manual focus ring), a hot shoe accessory connector, and movie mode with audio. This Lumix model (the DMC-FZ10S) has a silver body; the DMC-FZ10K has a black body.

    Optics and Resolution
With its 4-megapixel CCD sensor, you can capture up to a 2304 x 1728 pixel image for prints up to 11 x 17 inches. It also has 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, and 640 x 480 pixel resolution settings (and 1920 x 1080 for display on HDTV wide screen TVs with a 16:9 aspect ratio).

The extended zoom of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 digital camera No Zoom 3x Zoom 6x Zoom 9x Zoom 12x Zoom The Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens features an F2.8 brightness throughout the entire 12x zoom range, which is equivalent to a 35-420mm zoom lens on a conventional 35mm film camera. (The DMC-FZ10 also has a 3x digital zoom.) Its precision lens, extraordinary telephoto features and no-lag processing speed enable this camera to capture every detail of distant or quick-moving subjects with superb brightness and clarity. The Lumix DMC-FZ10 image stabilization system uses gyroscopes within the camera to sense camera shake and shift the lens elements to compensate for the movement–thus enabling you to shoot at a slower shutter speed.

About Panasonic’s MEGA Optical Image Stabilizer The same image with IS off and with IS on Handheld telephoto shots, or shoot-
ing in low-light conditions, often magnifies unintentional hand move-
ments into blurry images (above, top). This optical technology (bottom) provides precise compen-
sation for these movements without any degradation of image quality.
    Movie Mode
In addition to taking still photos, the DMC-FZ10 can also record 320 x 240 movie clips at either 30 or 10 frames per second (fps) with audio. Your video length is limited only by the size of your memory card. The included 16 MB card can hold 25 seconds of 30 fps video.

    More Features
In addition to the variety of convenient automatic controls, the DMC-FZ10 has full manual controls for exposure, focusing, and white balance. Manual exposure capability gives you complete freedom for capturing images according to your preferences, including intentional overexposure or underexposure. The manual focus ring provided on the lens barrel, like traditional camera lenses, allows you to focus on the particular part of your subject according to your preference. Advanced histogram functions on the DMC-FZ10, like a digital light meter, provide a graphic representation of the luminance level of the pixels composing an image for more precise exposure control for quality photos.

Incredibly responsive, the DMC-FZ10 captures consecutive shots nearly as quickly as a motor-driven film camera. As soon as the camera’s CCD captures the image signal, Panasonic’s multi-tasking Venus Engine LSI simultaneously displays images on the LCD while writing data to the memory card, significantly reducing lag time between shots. To capture sudden events as they unfold, Panasonic’s exclusive Mega Burst recording feature enables consecutive rapid-fire shooting, capturing 4 frames per second with undiminished quality from frame to frame.

    Other features include:

    • 2-inch LCD display with 130,000-pixel resolution
    • Flash modes: Auto, Red-Eye Auto, On, Red-Eye On, Red-Eye Slow Sync
    • Focus modes: Auto Focus System, Manual Focus, Normal/Macro (Dial), Spot AF On/Off (Spot Mode), Continuous AF On/Off
    • Audio recording with images up to 5 seconds

As an added bonus, Panasonic includes a lens hood, which comes in handy when you’re shooting outdoors. The lens hood is threaded for 72 mm filters, as well.

Panasonic's MegaBurst Mode Designed for action shots, Panasonic’s Mega Burst imaging captures up to eight full-resolution shots in two seconds. Storage and Transfer
Images are stored on either Secure Digital (SD) or MultiMediaCard (MMC) memory cards. A 16 MB SD card is included with the DMC-FZ10. At the 2304 x 1728 pixel setting, the 16 MB card can hold 8 images at Fine Quality mode or 16 at Standard Quality mode.

Images can be downloaded to either a Mac or PC via USB 1.1 connectivity, which means the camera can be connected to any USB-based Windows Me/2000/XP and Mac OS 8.6 or later computer without installing any software.

    Power and Size
The camera is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (included). It measures 3.4 x 5.5 x 4.2 inches and weighs 19.4 ounces (550 grams).

    Company : Panasonic

    Features

    • 5-megapixel sensor captures enough detail to create photo-quality 13-by-17-inch enlargements
    • Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 12x zoom lens combines with 4x digital zoom for 48x total zoom
    • MEGA optical image stabilizer; 2-inch TFT LCD screen; PictBridge Compatible
    • Store images on Secure Digital (SD) memory card (16 MB SD card included)
    • Powered by lithium-ion battery pack (included with charger)

    Amazon.com Product Description

Featuring a 5-megapixel CCD sensor, the DMC-FZ20K delivers a wide range of detail and color with images up to 2560 x 1920 pixels–enough information to make photo-quality prints up to 13 by 17 inches. Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 12x zoom lens, with 3 aspheric elements, combines comfortably small size with superb image rendering. By combining with a 4x digital zoom, users will have an equivalence of a 48x zoom lens in a very compact body, though users should note that digital zoom degrades picture quality.

    Movie Mode and Audio
The DMC-FZ20K lets you shoot QuickTime Motion JPEG video at resolutions up to 320 x 240 pixels with sound. The amount of video you can capture is limited by space on the memory card; you’ll fit more at low quality (10 frames-per-second) than at high quality (30 frames-per-second). The movies aren’t camcorder quality, but they’re fun and convenient, and they’re perfect as e-mail attachments. You can also record audio comments, up to five seconds in length, for your still pictures.

    More Features

    • Flip Animation: Allows you to create your own frame-by-frame animations.
    • Unlimited Consecutive Shooting: Allows consecutive shooting up to the capacity of the SD memory card.
    • Two-inch diagonal polycrystalline TFT LCD display (130k pixels)
    • Hot shoe for external flash attachment
    • Mega Burst Shooting Mode: Shoot up to seven images at three or two frames-per-second in standard resolution, or up to four images in fine resolution. This option is designed to provide you with the best selection of photos during action, such as a sporting event.

    Storage and Transfer
Images and video are stored on Secure Digital (SD) memory cards. A 16 MB SD card is included. Files can be downloaded to either a Mac or PC via USB connectivity, which means it can be connected to any USB-based Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and Mac OS 8.6 or later computer without installing any software.

    Printing
This camera supports the PictBridge standard. PictBridge is a technology that lets you transfer pictures from a digital camera to a compatible printer, without a PC or image-editing software. Because PictBridge is an industry standard, users can connect PictBridge-compatible devices made by many different manufacturers. Learn more about PictBridge.

    Power and Size
The camera is powered by lithium-ion battery pack (included with charger). It measures 3.43 by 5.02 by 4.18 inches and weighs 1.14 pounds.

    What’s in the Box
DMC-FZ20K digital camera, battery charger, battery pack, 16MB SD memory card, lens cap, lens hood with adaptor, A/V and USB cables, strap, and CD-ROM

    Product Description

This Panasonic Lumix Digital-camera offers a host of distinct features that sets it above most cameras in this price range. A prestigious Leica DC VARIO-ELMARIT Lens with 3x Optical Zoom optical zoom lens (35mm equivalent: 35 to 105mm) offers (critically acclaimed) superior imaging performance. It is further extended with up to 4x digital zoom. Jitter from shaky hands is one of the main reasons why cameras produce blurry images. The DMC-FX9 has a built-in gyrosensor that detects any hand movement and relays a signal to a tiny microcomputer inside the camera, which instantly calculates the compensation needed. A linear motor then shifts the Optical Image Stabilizer lens as necessary to guide incoming light from the image straight to the CCD. You won’t even notice it working–all you’ll see are the outstanding results. Add a bright, beautiful 2.5″ TFT LCD screen plus multiple scene modes (still and movie) and you’ve got a camera that’s incomparably easy to use without blocking your creative potentials. At this price range, when you sum it up, this ranks among the top of its class. Product Description

The FZ5 is a compact, 12x zoom, FZ-series of Panasonic digicam, and is also the successor to the 3.2-megapixel FZ3. Armed with a LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens, the FZ5 sports a focal length of 36 - 432 mm (in 35mm format), and is powered by the proprietary LSI Venus Engine II that promises great image quality and camera responsiveness. It also incorporates Panasonic’s MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) technology that compensates for handshake. This complements its long zoom capability perfectly.Compared to the more advanced FZ20, the FZ5 is very much lighter and compact. In fact, it is the smallest long zoom digital camera that utilizes image stabilization. The redesigned body has a larger grip than the FZ3 it succeeds, as well as a relocation of the shutter release button from the top of camera to a more downward position at the top of the grip. Both improvements are highly welcomed, and make the camera more comfortable to hold. Besides the mechanically released popup flash, there is no hotshoe for an external flash. The FZ5 offers an AF-assist lamp (1.5m range) that greatly helps with low light focusing. The electronics viewfinder (EVF) has a 110K-pixel resolution and below it sits the 1.8-inch (1.5-inch on the FZ3), 130K-pixel LCD monitor. Under good lighting, both displays are clear, bright and offer punchy colors. Besides the monitor lies a four-way control pad that aids in menu navigation, as well as providing certain functions such as exposure and backlight compensations, auto bracket, white balance and flash output adjustments, review, self-timer, and flash setting. Interestingly, there is a Focus button that causes the camera to autofocus - a neat way to AF than the usual shutter half-press action.
